Big Yellow’s Most Borrowed: December
December in Big Yellow always feels short. Between finals, study days, and long hours in Davis Library, comfort became the priority. These were the pieces I reached for most when getting dressed needed to be easy, comfortable, and just a little bit put together.
SPLIT59 Raquel High Waist Flared Legging|Indigo/White
These are, without a doubt, my favorite pair of flares. I've had mine for nearly five years, and while flares from other brands always seem to rip or wear out, these still look just as good as the day I bought them. They're comfortable enough for hours in Davis Library, cute with a basic white tee or oversized hoodie, and I would repurchase them in every color if I could.
Boys Lie All-Star V2 Harley Zip
I got my first Boys Lie hoodie over four years ago, so the exact one I wear is no longer on the website, but this one is pretty close. My friends constantly make jokes about how I practically live in it, and honestly, they're not wrong. Mine is made from the same soft thermal fabric and has that perfect slouchy fit that somehow gets better with time. I was originally influenced by Alix Earle to buy it, and of course it ended up becoming a staple in my closet.
Nakedvice The Elliot Short|Chocolate
Looking for something to wear on a night out? With a little strategic layering, these suede micro shorts are surprisingly winter friendly. The suede fabric gives them a more seasonal feel, and they look especially cute paired with fleece lined tights, tall black boots, and either a leather jacket or a cozy faux fur coat.
Norma Kamali Shawl Collar Peplum Jacket|Dark Heather Grey
The cinched waist and flared sleeves create such a beautiful silhouette. It feels elegant without being overly dressy, which is probably why I reached for it so often. It's just as cute styled casually with flares and a sweater as it is dressed up with jeans and boots or even a skirt for a holiday event.
